What are the Grands Jours de Bourgogne?

This wine show, set up by the Burgundy Wine Board in 1992, is held at the end of March every other year, with the special characteristic of enabling professionals to meet wine-makers in the vineyards themselves.
You are invited to spend a week travelling around Burgundy to attend 15 wine tasting shows held in prestigious places, from Chablis to the Côte Chalonnaise, and taking in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune (for questions of practicality Mâconnais producers exhibit in Beaune).
One day is devoted to each of the five wine-growing areas.
The aim of the Grands Jours de Bourgogne is to:
- Encourage contact between Burgundy companies, professionals, and the press
- Increase knowledge about Burgundy wines
- Inform the media about Burgundy wine activity

Who can attend the Grands Jours de Bourgogne?

The Grands Jours de Bourgogne are reserved exclusively for professionals working in one of the following professions: sales agents, wine shops and specialised stores, traders, distributors, restaurateurs and wine waiters, importers and journalists. A badge is required to enter the wine show. Under-18s are not allowed to attend the wine show.

I wish to attend the wine show, how do I go about it?

To attend the wine show you must be a professional exclusively for professionals working in one of the following professions: sales agents, wine shops and specialised stores, traders, distributors, restaurateurs and wine waiters, importers and journalists. If this is your case, then fill in the pre-registration form and we will send you a code to pre-register for the show. You will then be sent confirmation of your registration.

How can I get an access badge?

Once you have completed pre-registration, we will send you confirmation of your registration for the wine show. You will need to present this confirmation on arrival at your first tasting event, and you will then be issued with your badge. You can use the same badge for all the events. Please keep it and present it at each event.

Do I need to order a new badge for each day?

No. You need to keep your badge for your entire stay. You can use the same badge for all the events. Please keep it and present it at each event.

Can I bring a guest?

Registrations for the Grands Jours de Bourgogne are limited to two persons per company.

I have received an electronic invitation. What do I need to do now?

To pre-register for the show, go to the registration section and enter the alphanumerical code and the key you have been allocated. Check and confirm the information that appears. You can then select the tasting events you are interested in and pre-register. You will then be sent confirmation of your registration. You will need to present this confirmation on arrival at your first tasting event, and you will then be issued with your badge.

May I receive an invitation?

Please fill out the pre-registration form. If your business sector corresponds to the Grands Jours de Bourgogne target sectors, we will send you an access code so that you can pre-register.

I am a student, may I attend the wine show?

The show is for professionals only. Students are not allowed to attend.

How can I get to the various tasting events?

From the Tuesday onwards, there will be a shuttle service to take you from one site to another.

Do I have to pay an admission fee?

Grands Jours de Bourgogne tasting events are free for visitors. Admission to the following events will be charged for: Grandes Maisons & Grands Crus, and La Banée de Meursault. To register for these two events you need to contact their organisers directly.

Will I be able to eat on site?

Yes, there is a buffet at each location. The buffets are open during the times mentioned at each event.

Is there a closing date for registering?

Yes, you need to register before 12 March 2012.
